    Luftwaffe Belt

My fist Luftwaffe buckle & it came with a belt & tab. 1941& it fits me at the smallest setting (the way it came).

Looking very dry, leave it or condition it?

    Thanks Paul

Can you post a pic of the inner belt? Luftwaffe examples are tapered at the end

Is this what you're looking for?

Taper.jpg Remove the buckle and see if the end of the inner belt has the taper as shown in my pic. Often RAD belts are mistaken for Luftwaffe belts because they're brown, so I want to make sure it is a Luftwaffe belt.

The tab is very dry & partially split, don't think it will survive buckle being removed.
Pics show best I can, hope you understand.

One can easily see by the pics provided its not a LW belt.

            Still a nice set!

Nice belt and buckle, personally I would leave it as it is

This rig was sold to my seller about a year ago by a 96 year old WW2 vet who brought it back. Judging by the contact rub markings that it has been together a very long time.

Thank you all for the details. Leaving as is but worried about the continued drying, can something be applied to the leather to help extend the life?

Would another branch have a grey catch?
