Luft Eagle Cut Off

Can I please have help with regards to this vet bring back cut off. Can you please tell me what the backing is. Could it be a flight suit or smock of some type?? Thanks, Tom.

Could be from the mediterranean flight jacket or just a original bird sewn on a original piece of fabric..
Flight suits didn't have a eagle ..

I agree.

Easy to take a wool eagle and sew it to a piece of flight suit material. Impossible to authenticate IMO. The rule "value is the sum of parts" comes to mind.

However no doubt about originality and definitely NOT resewn. Right from the son of a "SSR" South Saskatchewan Regiment soldier and came with numerous other bring backs still is the original shipping box.
