Hi Folks:
I attended a local antique show and found this hanging on a metal floral display. When I noticed it...the gentleman said that his Father owned this bag and that it's Luftwaffe...but he said "Air Force"... He showed me the hallmark on the leather strap dated "1940"....so I bought it. I also found the hallmark ink stamp on the inside. The zippers and snaps are fully operational.
Hallmark on leather strap: "Martin Forker Wilthen/Sa. 1940"
Ink Stamp inside "M. FORKER WILTHEN 1940"
There is a snap pouch inside along with a "flapped" pocket inside. In addition, on the inside bottom is a leather strap with loops for six (6)?
This is the normal rucksack......who used these? Thank for looking and your help.
