Help with evaluation early flight cap

Hi!
I have been collecting for some years now focusing on LW pilot stuff and especially flight caps. Having 13 different models including some really rare and early ones.
But I am missing the lkps_53...
The thing is that I know a collector having the 53 now thinking of selling it. Of course I am interested but I think his price is way ahead..
I know what I have paid for my caps and I have seen many others sell aswell so I think I have a good figure of price range.
I would like you to give me your estimation on this rare cap.
Condition as seen on the pictures, cable is dried out and wrapped with black tape.
Picture attached to show the cap in action found on the internet.
I can tell you afterwards what the seller wants.

A fantastic cap, I have never seen a summer version so can't even begin to suggest a realistic price. I have an LKpW53 but I don't remember what I paid for it. Good luck--

I guess it all depends on how bad you want it to complete your collection? You don't see these for sale very often.

2-3k maybe. Price is relative to desirability. How many serious Luftwaffe ole tors would pay much more than that for a flight cap ( no matter how rare) in that condition?

I've no clue about prices of this type, but I wouldn't pay several K's for it..

A very rare bird but with cable restored first ? not a mint exceptional condition cap .
I would never give 1000's of EUR or USD for such a flight cap, even so rare .

Yes I want it bad for sure and based on the prices I have paid for my early rare caps I was thinking 1500 euro and maybe just a little bit more just because I really want it..
The seller wants 4-5000 usd for it..

That’s grotesque. I figured since nice condition w100’s and S100’s seem to bring around $900 or so, you could double it and add a bit more for this rarer helmet.

IMO it way to much to pay 4-5000 usd for that, even 1500 Euro are to much. But it´s the buyers market and if you are willing to pay it´s up to you.
