casing with special base

have this casing since years but never found one similar with
this special base . it is a french casing 75mm x350 mm .

Shell case with a large groove on the bottom...........to be able to differenciate , in the dark, the model 1900 explosive shells from the shrapnel shells . This process was quickly abandoned .
These cases with grooves are rare.

thanks klarkon as nice to hear that this casing is a rare bird . i found it years ago in fleamarket here in my region . it sounds good it is the same as casings for flares this have marks too for diference in the dark .
