    Identifying Projectile

    Hi
    I recently piced up a solid projectile marked UPCO 3IN15 DRMKV 11 1942 . It is solid steel and has a brass or copper band on the 3 rd groove from the bottom.

        Its about as tall as a roll of paper towels. Made out of solid steel. It tapers to a point like a 30-06 ball rd does.

            It looks like 10. I bet its a practice round. I dont have the brass shell.

                Number 10 is an APC (armoured piercing capped) round....Is yours about 3" diameter w/a seperate nose piece?....If so, it should have M62 or 3" stamped on it....A practice round would be painted blue.....As stated, pictures would help....Bodes
