New Garden Feature Sea Mine

Collected this tonight a small sea mine, I've known it for 25 years plus, and due to the death of a very dear friend, it is now mine to look after and so it will now live in my garden and will be a reminder of my friend and his father, who originally saved it from the scrap. It measures about 22 inches in diameter but I've never really known what/who made it ? I'll take some better photos at the weekend.

Now cleaned up, just need to try and identify this mine,

It is very small, 22 inch = 56 cm, a spherical naval mines has a diameter about 80 cm - 100 cm or more.
