These are german made 7,62x38,5cm cases for russian 7,62cm fieldguns captured by the germans.

In my opinion: the brass case is not rare, the steel based case in good condition is more difficult to find.
I do not have a picture of the gun. But I think it was called 76,2mm M1902 or 1906. The Germans captured a lot of these guns during WW1, enough to make their own ammunition.
