Hello, I need some help with identification and estimated value. What is written on top cover? What was the purpose of this box. It is big. Looks like container for 2 spare barrels.

If not mistaken (I'll have to see my files) It might be the spare barrel box for the 2cm gun.
-See under the helmets in pic#1
-In the background in pic#2

I know I've got some good pics of one of those boxes somewhere...but I can't find them right now.

Hello Carles, Great choice of pictures as usuall Yes, two barrels will fit in this box nicely but first stencilled word does not look like Laufschutzer or Laufbehalter. That is mystery. It makes great shelf for some half a dozen DD M35 helmets!

I've got a booklet about the Flakpanzer 38(t) in which you can see the box clearly...but not good light to shoot a pic. I'll try to scann it tomorrow.

Thanks for posting! I doubt the paint is original. I can only see two pictures. On each picture it looks like different Rohrkasten. I am not sure what exactly is offered for sale on that site.
