    BZE39 Fuse Variations

    Question...

I recently received an original TAN painted M39 Egg Grenade...buuuuuuuuuuuuut...the BZE39 cap/head is about 3/4 the size of a standard BZE39. At first I thought it was a repro...but it has the remains of the original spring/cord inside. It is dated 1944.

Is this an oddity? I have never seen one so small before.

    Thoughts?

the head of an ANZ39 Looks very similar, but is smaller. I think it will be going in this direction, but that is only a guess without pics.

very nice original tan egg, the fuze could be a postwar german Zündschnuranzünder with added ANZ39 knob......can you show a picture with unscrewn knob please?
