    SOS 2019 - Did anyone pick up munitions/ordnance items?

    I was not able to make it to the show this year, so I am wondering if I missed any real nice munitions or ordnance items. I know most of the guys frequenting the Large Ordnance Forum are not in the US, but I am still curious.

    I was able to pick up a minty J-Feder 504 fuze in it's box at a good price the last time I went.

    The only ordnance things I picked up was a mint M39 egg grenade and a flare case with 4 unused flares. I am going soft....and spent a whole lot of money on headgear!

              The features of the egg, especially the top portion, look like this fake;

              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=989270

              Perhaps the fuse as well. Sorry.

              I did see a couple of M39s which were too worn for me.

              Did anyone see, or buy, the Panzerfaust 30? I saw it before the show, but passed as the condition was not what I was hoping for, as well as too expensive. Not sure if the owner bought it in as I didn't see it again.

                Hi Willi.

                It is not at all like the fake shown on the thread you have referred to with the angled top portion if that is what you are referring to. I will get some outdoor pics of it for you and Jens and the rest to look at. If its a fake it is a new high end one!

                    Was it ground-dug Willi? What was the asking price? I am just curious as I was shocked when I saw the high price a rough one sold for recently on an auction site.

                      Here are some outside pictures of the fuse well and a color comparison to the darkest green and lightest green M24s I have,both with full original paint. I see no issues with this M39 or the fuse myself.

                        And a picture beside a less than mint but more common blue one.

                          Steve, yes my concern is with the fuse well. Perhaps, it is the photos, but I just don't see the crimping.

                          Just curious also, what is the date on the head of the M24 with the light green paint?

                            No question that it is crimped. The light color M24 is head stamped 1943 and I am not sure on the 3 letter prefix. It is also ink stamped K on the side.

                              Sometimes mint stuff causes more questioning but I am confident it is good as I can see nothing that would show otherwise.
