I came across this piece of a ZZ 42 fuse and wonder if the blast cap at the end still might be LIVE? One can see from the open end that there is some corrosion inside.
I would assume that if this end piece was completely inert it would be entirely hollow.
If this is LIVE, is there a SAFE and effective way of deactivating it? I don't want to assume that such a blast cap would have the same 'punch' as a large rifle primer.
