M24 Potato Masher - Opinion Needed

I "think" this is repro made from original parts.

I say this because I do not like the handle...and both the 2 end caps are too "clean".

The head on the other hand feels to be original, and has an "ftd 43" stamp on the top.

I cannot take it apart, as it will not unscrew.

Thoughts?

what is the makers mark on handle> also the stamp on the stick seems way of, all blurred and never seen this on a m24, m43 yes I have seen. any one else concur ?
