8.8 projectile question

Hi all, a question for you.. that I can't find an answer to
What is this plug screwed into the rear / bottom of the 8.8 head / projectile ?.
Hope somebody can help

It is a screwed bottom because the explosive charge has been pressed and inserted from below.

Is this part not found very often ?, there doesn't appear to be much info about it.
Could it be found on flak shells as well as tank rounds ?.
