    Cannon balls in oven??

    Is it wise to bake oven balls in the oven after covering in lard!

          Not sure how covering in lard would make any difference if they were loaded..... Maybe he knew they were empty and was trying to put a finish on them????

            My wife said butter, rosemary, and some coarse sea salt would have done a better job.
