    Tank Shell ID Help

    Came across these shells. Does anyone know what tank they are for?

    My bet is that this is the former French 75x597R round for the AMX 13 tank used by IDF ( Israeli defence force )

      Those are really interesting, and I would love to get my hands on one. They are definitely French made. They could be AMX 13 75mm ammo, but they do not look quite right. The "DB-85" and shape of the case make me think they could be for the D-48 Russian 85mm antitank gun. What is the diameter of the projectile? May I see a better photo of the driving bands and photo of the headstamp on the case bottom?

          Cartridge case for the D-48 Russian 85mm antitank gun is 85 x 708 R with 147mm rim dia.
          Where would the Israeli take the Russian cannon D-48 ?

              So it is case for "CN 75-50" 75 mm tank gun on AMX-13 or Sherman M-50 tanks in Israeli service.
