    Hi gents,
Would like to know your opinions on this. Is this original paint or has it been redone?

As with any militaria, restoring drops the price. Same goes with mines?

Too much for the shape it’s in if you ask me.

Agreed, for that price you can get a complete example with all of the internals and with decent, original paint. The example shown has also had an extra hole drilled in the bottom probably to deactivate the black powder launching charge most likely because it was too rusted inside to fully disassemble.

As already stated above, it is definitely repainted. Does it even break down, and are the internal contents included?

I would forget this one and go to the e-stand or Facebook!!! Ivan Waa (waa 516) has been selling some really nice S.Mi.35's on the e-stand for the last few months. He found a horde of them at the bottom of a frozen pond still in their shipping containers, and also found a bunch more elsewhere. Condition has been from good to mint, and prices from $270 to $370. All complete, original, unrestored, strip-able, and well cleaned. He sells from Russia, but is very trustworthy and does an awesome job of packaging them.

I have been fortunate to buy several from him, including an S.Mi.35 Übung. In fact, parts of two more arrived today.

Here is a link to his current listing on the e-stand:

He is a great guy to deal with, but be patient, as shipments from Russia to the US take about 1-1/2 to 2 months.

Unfortunately, it has been repainted due to the bad conditions.

Hey all, thanks for all the replies. He was firm on the $325 so I opted out. Also wouldn’t send any pics of it disassembled so that was another red flag for me. I’ve since found two other mines on a Facebook group that are on their way.
