It is important to provide dimensions, as from a couple of pics it could just be anything. Anyhow, it looks WWI kind. Perhaps Russian?

This case is the antitank guns as it has a percussion primer. Tanks used screw in electric primers.

That's not true, just the M.1938 tank gun had an electric firing system.
But . . . primer EV used for ammunition for this gun was combined (electrical and percussion).

The most used Russian 45mm tank cannon was M. 1932 type, shell casing and primer for this tank gun was the same as for antitank guns M. 1932 / 1937 / 1942.

You may only dispute my statement if you can provide documentation from a Russian manual.

I studied Russian while in the US Army in the 80's. It is very rusty, and it may take me a while to digest, but your documentation is excellent. I have been searching for such Russian manuals for years. Thank you, and I stand corrected.

Do you have any of the color plates from the Russian manuals showing the complete rounds? I have excellent Russian documents for 76, 100, 122 and 152mm ammunition, but I do not have good documentation for 45, 57 and 85mm Russian ammunition.
