    Unusual WWII German 10,5cm LFH Casing - help

    Looking for info on this WWII German 10,5cm Light Field Howitzer shell casing (left). I've never seen this version before...it is lacquered steel, one piece casing with a bakelite area around a very small primer. No visible markings (rust on the edge and on the primer). The right casing is the standard 10,5cm 6342ST casing with the C/12 primer for comparison.

    I've seen the brass and steel one piece casing, two piece casing and wrapped steel casing...but never this version before.

    Let me know what you think.

    That's a 7,5 cm LG 40 case, so for a recoillesss gun.
    Rare in this condition !
    Have a look, you should be able to find stamps in the side of the rim.

          Oh wow! I wasn't expecting that!!!! So, they used a 10,5cm casing with a 7,5cm projectile?

          Closer examination of my casing, the primer is dated 42...the other markings very tough to read. Looks like 43St.
          The steel casing, I don't see any markings, but the bakelite on the inside of the casing has a raised 11. Also, my bakelite center does not have any holes through it as seen in the other posted pics...is that normal?

          How much do they sell for?

            @Van, those are not holes.
            In the drawing, they just indicate where stamps can be found on the bakaltie disc.
            Factorecode, year of production etc.
