Help Please With 1917 Dated 18 Pounder Projectile Cdn Made

Can I please have help with this 1917 Dated 18 Pounder Projectile Cdn Made. I have never seen a flat nose cap which is marked "III No 1 MB 1910". The rest of the markings on the side are "A 7064 - C & Broad Arrow - 18 Pr - QF - BS - 1917 - VMD Co Ltd - 2 BC" etc. Any help on this projectile would be much appreciated. Thanks, Mark.

Nice condition shell, classic WW1. That's a transport plug that allows the shell to be transported without a fuze.

I'm curious as well. I have one too and haven't seen any others other than in references and museums.

These can be found in the US and Canada due to the number manufactured. It is worth approx. $100. There is a black powder expulsion charge under the lead balls that you will want to ensure has been removed.
