    german 57 mm casing unknown A7V ??

    have this casing since years in my display but no idea for what gun it is .
    caliber 57 mm casing lenght 250 mm weight 743 gramms
    bottom is marked PATRONENFABRIK KARLSRUHE
    no date or inspektor marks
    A7V TANK

      This is cartridge case for 57mm L/25,6 Gruson gun
      A7V tank gun had 57x224R case.

        i take new pics of different casings all imperial at right the casing

        cal 57 250 mm lenght botom marked PATRONENFABRIK KARLSRUHE

        in the midle cal 57 224 mm lenght botom marked 5 POLTE MAI 1916
        MAGDEBURG SP252

        left with shell cal 52 176 mm lenght botom marked AWS 21 FEBR 1893
        as you said the first is gruson gun ok ?
        the middle is AV7 tank
        and left cal 32 WITH SHELL ??

                          By the dimensions of your case its probably a German export case for the Dutch 6 veld kanon.
