    Grenade clamp for booby-trap?

I've seen this item listed as a clamp for a stick grenade to use it as a booby-trap. Is that what it is really intended for? I believe that I also remember seeing it being used with an alarm leucht in oberjager's the collection.

What is the proper German name for this is?

It’s intended use was for an “alarm flare” but could be “MacGuyverd” to hold a stick grenade.
The Germans where masters of ordnance improvisation & adapted lots of their equipment to fit the situation at hand.

If you look on the lexpev site there is a listing for this.

    “Alarmschutzen” 100% spelled incorrectly [emoji848]
