    About MG 131 ammo..

    Hi guys,

    I'm interested to learn about MG 131 ammo, did find some info, but I'm still a bit confused..
    The general consensus is that this caliber only had 3 types of shells that were used in battle.., the rest was pratice ( Uebung ) ammo. Grey color with flat top and a Panzer practice ..

    Those 3 battle types were Spreng, Brand-Spreng and Panzer .., no Phospor, no Electron, no Brand, no Panzer-Spreng, no Panzer-Brand ..

    That makes that there're no heads with Ph, E, complete blue color, no yellow band on top on Panzer ammo, no blue band on top on Panzer ammo..

    Am I right ?
    Suggestions ..!
    Real examples to show of the no-types ..?

      Thanks klarkon, that sheds some light, very informative.., good info.

      I've followed some discussions in a ammo forum, hence my question, seams they were wrong.
