    7,5 cm Pzgr. 39

Hi, i currently doing some research regarding a small tank battle in Veghel (Netherlands). A older man showed me the position of a few German tanks (probably Panthers) who where in a firefight with sherman fireflye's from the British 44RT division.

Found a round screw cap made of somekind of zinc alloy. I'm quite sure that it is a cap that must be removed before putting in the fuze but i would like to know if it is certanly from the 75mm gun. The diameter of the screw thread is approximately 48mm, screw thread hight 10mm, total hight 20mm.

It is marked with 4 round cirkels. one containing the year "1942", one "NO.1", one "G.D.H" and one (i think) "IIIZ".
Unfortunately i can not place photo's so i hope that there is a specialist who can do with the discription.

    Thanks!

Thanks! The British example has a cavity to house the primer cap. The one i found is just flat.
