Is this AZ23 Fuse used on the 88mm?

    Hey guys...

    Got this fuse in recently...

Makes AZ23...appears to be all steel.

Read that this type was NOT used on the 88mm? Can I get some clarification, as I have some rounds that needs fuses...

    Thanks!

Wrong reply, A.Z.23 fuze was not used on 8,8 shells. Like impact fuze was used A.Z.23/28 or Dopp.S/60 only.
For FlaK shells time fuze Zt.Z.S/30.
        Source :
        1) "H.Dv.181/60 Merkblatt für die Munition der 8,8 cm KwK 36",
        2) "H.Dv.481/541 Merkblatt für die Munition der 8,8 cm FlaK.18, FlaK.36".
3)" Geschosszunder Wa Pruf 1 VIIc"
Your fuze looks like AZ 23 Nb (Pr) ( if has not delay key) - this fuze was used for 15cm Gr.19 Nb

Yep AZ23/28 needed for high velocity work, not the standard AZ23
