Brushing cane/cleaning rod/pole? What can it be?

Hi friends!

I was able to purchase this rod/pole today.

The rod/pole itself measures in length 1,51 meters, and the diameter of the front end is 67 mm. The rod/pole has some scrape-markings on top which can indicate that it has been pulled in and out of something thus leaving scrape-marks on this frontend. At the bottom there's a possibility to connect this rod to something - perhaps to make it longer?

On the shaft of this rod/pole - just underneath the front - there are some markings:

224 (star in a circle), then something which reminds me of some sort of Waffen-Amt number (see attached photos).

I'm not familiar with ordnance in general, but could this rod/pole be some kind of brushing cane for artillery - some sort of cleaning rod/pole? Or could it be some sort of rod/pole which was used for inserting the cartridge?

I would appreciate any information on what this rod/pole really is

In 1935 had Waffen-Amt number "WaA.134" Gustav Appel Maschinenfabrik

The frontend of this rod/pole is made of some kind of brass material, the rest seems to be stainless steel.

But the question remains - what is it?

The four pointed star in a circle is the Rheinmetall Borstig Logo. That rod might have been part of an artillery gun cradle or something. I don't think it is a cleaning rod as those were usually made of wood, I believe. A WaA number can help to confirm a maker but a WaA inspector could work in different factories or plants, or several inspectors could work in one same very large plant or complex.

me6 130 is right and waffenamt code is pre-1933 style.

That's something difficult to answer as you don't usually find much detailed pics of them. Anyhow, it should be an early/pre-war, as the WaA stamp is an early one. Good research project

There is also Rheinmetall-Borsig marking on it which indicates it is accepted by Rheinmetal for their gun barrels.
