    AZ 39 fuze

    Was the AZ39 fuze used also on 37 mm shells?
    I know it was for 50 mm shell.

    If yes, only Flak or also HE Pak?

    The AZ 39 was developed for the 37mm Pak Patr. 18 HE projectiles. The 3,7mm Flak 18 HE shells used fuses:

    3,7cm Kpf Z Zerl P
    3,7cm Kpf Z Zerl Pv
    3,7cm Kpf Z Zerl Z Fg

    The first Pak HE shells used 3,7cm Kpf Zerl P fuses with the self destruct mechanism deactivated - designated by red painted noses.
