    Bronze swivel cannon

    Hello everyone,
Can I have opinions about this Bronze swivel cannon.
    About 50 centimeters long.
    Thank you in advance.

I wouldn't consider this barrel a swivel. Swivel cannon mount on the sides of ships and have a U shaped bracket that allows the cannon barrel to swivel in all directions. Not sure what this is, may be a line throwing gun , not sure if it is original or not either, but possibly. Would be great on the fourth of july to get the neighbors looking . touch hole seems plugged, is it?

You will need to build a nice carriage for it possibly with wheels .
had a friend that has a line throwing gun from the USN in ww2, and he shot aluminum cans filled with concrete , and used one ounce of powder I believe...the local mountain top was full of concrete rounds as the can would usually peel off when shot in mid air. Lots of fun to see. some original cannon barrels found diving on wrecks have a percentage of platinum in the brass. makes them worth a lot even for scrap.
