    Flak 38 2cm Magazine

    I picked this up recently, original wartime Flak 38 magazine complete with Waa stamps, very light corrosion that someone has ' restored' by painting it black. Should I strip the paint off?

    I paid £60 plus shipping, which I thought was a good deal. I have not seen any of these previously.

    Price seems good if the corrosion is light. These were blued, so if you remove the paint you might find there is no blueing left. I was lucky enough to choose 10 out of a hoard of Spanish Army surplus, many years ago. I could pick the best, and their boxes also. All from German "neutral" help during the Spanish Civil War. I still have 3 or 4.

      Very nice! And I can see yours are the earlier examples with the inspection holes in the casings.

        Yep, for sure they are earlier. They also have the holes in the back.
