Not sure if it can be imported into the US without considerable demilling and possibly governmental approval. I just sold a nice intact complete 8.8cm like the one pictured (except with a primer and an impact fuse ) for $1000 here in the US.

I notice that munitie.nl website is not functioning. It is down as i cannot see any stock etc... I want one of his 88mm fuzes. No way to get in touch with him. :-(

Since early last week I've sent munitie.nl 3 email attempts with questions and have not received a reply. Are they usually slow in responding? I'd like to buy a case from them but I don't know if they are able to ship them to the US? Maybe they can't and they don't want to waste time with my inquiry? They have some nice items.

Check Gunbroker from time to time under Large Caliber and Inert Ordinance. Flak shells come up for sale fairly regularly. Also JC Militaria in the UK always has some for sale and they ship to the U.S.A. no problem. Not cheap, these are first tier items, but they are awesome!

Seeking identification

Recently, I picked up this shell I was told was an 88. I can't find any markings anywhere. It is engraved on it Germany 1945 - 1953, which I assume are the years the vet served in Germany. I'm not sure how to post photos here, but can email them to anyone who is interested in assisting me.
Any help to identify the caliber and type would be most appreciated.

Hello Robert,

If you are not an "Association Member" you cannot post pics directly. You need to post them in an external server (photobucket et alter) and then link them to the post. There are some instructions in the web about how to do so. The other option is becoming an "Association Member" by paying a fee (about $20 yearly) which gives you other advantages (access to only members sections and E-stand, for example) and your pics will no be lost but will remain in the web.
