1944 Model 24 Stielhandgranate w/ fragmentation sleeve

Any opinions on my 1944 Model 24 Stielhandgranate (German, "stalk hand grenade") with fragmentation sleeve? It looks like the sleeve has been repainted, should I strip the paint or leave as is?
Also is this model 24 a collected piece? Any interest? Let me know.

not the best pics, the M 24 looks good on the distance, the frag sleeve is for sure repainted, the ring around is missing...any markings on the sleeve? must be brb marked....
