Question about Glühzünder 28

Hello, I have a question about the Glühzünder 28. Is the igniter that is part of it explosive or is this a non-explosive igniter like the Druckzünder35? How does the igniter work, and how does one know if still armed or not?

Fuses like Glühzünder 28 or DZ 35 are not explosives, they are just igniters. All those fuses are used with the detonator n° 8 which is a dangerous explosive.

This is exactly why I am asking....those parts of the Glühzünder are non explosive, right? A NP8 would have to be attached onto the longer part?
I am asking because I found a box of Glühzünder and Need to see what to do.....

Your Glühzünder 28 owns the detonator n° 8. That aluminium tube (if it's empty) is VERY dangerous. I hope for your it's inert ... Have you already tried to remove it from the fuse ?

Hi, Thanks. I know how dangerouus the Detonator 8 and 10 and others are. These pics are not mine, they are taken from http://www.lexpev.nl, the best site I know about ordonance in General.

I will make pics from the ones I found and post it. Then we can see. They are packed in a bundle of five, 4 packs, in a wooden box that is sealed within a zinc Container.
