Here is a big one.. Japanese Type 45 24cm (240m/m) Howitizer shell.. The Type 45 was the first heavy artillery that Japan had designed totally by themself. The type 45 was used in the China-Japanese War and on Bataan and Corregidor Islands in the Philippines in 1942, and to defend the border of Manchuria against the Soviet invasion in 1945.. There was 80 Type 45 Howitzers built.. Introduced in 1912,shell weight 200kg., weight of Gun 33,058 tons, range 10,350 meters..Enjoy BILL

Great case. I have a case exactly like it also dated 1938. I think my case is about 16 inches high and weighs a ton.
