    Stielhandgranate 39

I have been going over the evidence concerning the existence of the Stielhandgranate 39. According to popular belief it is a longer and heavier model of the Stielhandgranate 24. No such evidence have been found, and I must therefore consider the actual existence of the Stielhandgranate 39 as pure fiction.
If anyone has any information in regards to this I would be pleased to learn more about it.

Well, nothing there indicating the WW2 existence of a Stielhandgranate 39!
Sprengschule Dresden was established in 1968 so anything from them would be based on information gathered from other sources. And the only WW2 source that mentions the existence of a Stielhandgranate 39 are the allied intelligence reports.
The Wikipedia article is based on a modern book; Terry Gander, Peter Chamberlain: Enzyklopädie deutscher Waffen 1939–1945. 2. Auflage. Spezialausgabe. Motorbuchverlag, Stuttgart 2006,

The fact that everybody keeps on repeating the same information copied from each other do not prove the very existence of something no one has seen!

Yes, exactly my point. This is where it all started; Allied intel reports from the war time era, with unconfirmed guessing. The 1945 dated SHAEFhandbook on German ammunition describes only observed and identified examples with pictures. The M24 and M43 are both well described there, but nothing about a M39. And of course the most important fact; no German handbook mentions the existence of a M39 Stiel! ( and no example can be found today with the described length.....).

              Just one point !!

if such a Stielhandgranate ever existed, then there would be transport boxes for such I have never seen one to date and do have
a few M24 boxes here from all years both steel and wooden types.

The M24 early model through to the last variant with the pressed threads are all the same size.
and the M39 Nebel range below are the same , no difference at all in appearance across the four types.

              NbHgr . 39 B
              Nb Hgr . 39
              NB 39
              Nb

              Kind Regards Nick
