One of a Kind Piece of Flak

Hello everyone,
Thought I would share with you pictures of a piece of flak in my collection. It is a WaA marked piece that came with this Stars and Stripes article. The WaA number was reportedly the same as the last three digits of the B-17 that it was plucked from after the mission.
I bought this a couple years ago from the vet's nephew. Thought you might enjoy.

Nice to know the history with the piece! You have the number of the B-17, service man's name and the location of the mission.

Cool item, particularly with all the talk about "your number being up," etc.
The fragment is not really identifiable as flak from these photos alone, since it seems to have had a hole drilled into it, as well as being painted. Can you post some all round photos of it?
