    I have been searching around and found this web:

    The french artillery aiming circle M1918 has a level but it doesn't look exactly like this one. Any Aiming circle or theodolite needs two levels, at least, civilian or militar. I could just be any...but being dated 1940 I would tend to think it is a military items also.

      Hi guys,
      thanks a lot for all your help.

      I also searched the web but didnt find anything exactly as mine. It is not one of the things I do collect, but I love such items I have absolutly no clue about

      Carles: I'll write to the owner of your link, maybe he did see a level like this.
