    Large bomb, any idea?

    This one is part of a collection that I am looking at. Does anyone here know what it is?
    Seller said its possibly a dummy bomb. My first thought was some marine item, cant remember what they might be called.

    All opinion are welcome

    This is a depressor used for minesweeping, this type was used by germany during WW2, and there it was officially known as a "Tiefsuchgerät-Drachen".

    It's not komplet, it's missing the winglike shape at the front (depressing plane), where the bolts are.
    The side where the hook goes is actually the underside.

          Yes, thanks. Is there anyway to say for sure that is german made or where the design universal? I have not managed to get more than one search hit with google does anyone have any good links for some more info?
