    Ammo marking help

    Hi Fellows!

    This is not my field i need some help, i found this empty cartridge in the ground today.
    What caliber is this and who is the maker?

    Mostly an Austrian round produced by Georg Roth A.G. Wien. It might be an 8x52 R Mannlicher mod. 1888-90. The dot might mean it had been reloaded.

        I would say it was quite slow...it took me 13 minutes

            I'd say it is military ammo. The kind of cross is typical in Austro-Hungarian period ammo and seen in former countries of the empire for a while.
