    Interesting piece of trenchart ...

    Strolling over fleamarkets I cant resist to pick up strange looking brass "flower-pots" to look what they once were ... todays ugly vase turned out to be a quite old piece with a nice stamping preserved on its back end... maybe now out of interest for the ammo - collector I think stuff like this transports a lot of history...

    I'm sorry but I would say this is not trench art but post war. I feel very sorry when I see this kind of work on military items.

      Yes, it may be recyceling and not trench are ... but ín the same way as helmets converted to cooking pots or mugs made from Panzerfaust parts its piece of history and made these items survive. In this case already 107 years.

      Maybe this one is a little more "trenchy":

        The inscription says "Andenken an einen Soldaten in "Russland" (Rememberance for a soldier in Russia) and my be made in the field by a Wehrmacht soldier as a present for his family at home...
