      fakem M24

I agree with Bali, it is no good, it is fake, except for the pull cord
      and the fuse.

The presence of the wrong WaA920 is a clear no go !
There should be no punched WaA at all.

WaA: WaA920 manuf. code : jor A. Muzik Wien (AT)

      Sorry for the bad news.

Hi All, OK just to clarify this point Ferd I do own an original M24 with stamped/punched WaA and have seen others, the stamped WaA can be correct. BUT not correct in this case this looks to be a very well embellished fake. Indeed most WaA marks on grenades are applied with an ink stamp

          Regards
          Andrew

            M24

            Good Day Andrew,

thanks for joining - it´s interesting to hear about the punched WaA.

But, the WaA920 cannot be fine, it was given only to items marked with
            the 3 letter-code jor.

It would be interesting to see the heads with punched WaA though.....

            Thanks a lot in advance,

            Ferd

Here are pictures of one of the punched/stamped marking on the head. This one is in my collection. It is a nice M24, the head is a 1940, and the handle a 1939.

                fake M24 hand-grenade

                Hi,

thanks for showing the head with the punched WaA stamp !

Thanks to Andrew and Tighe, I took a closer look at mine as well.

I must agree, that originals may also bear the punched WaA.

But the hand-grenade starting this threat, with WaA920, is still a fake,
                unfortunately.

Here is a picture of 1 of mine: with WaA and maker´s code aqj1944
