    Any info? Kurzschlußstecker German Fuse

I purchased this Kurzschlußstecker fuse and was told it was for a bomb to be dropped by LW aircraft vs. mortars, cannons, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated as I have not been able to find one with same markings. Many I find are rusted and tarnished leaving all markings damaged or non-existent anymore. I am just looking for opinions or facts, anything offered is welcome. Thanks for reading and hope to learn something new about my item!

What you have is a very nice example of a German fuze discharger, (similar to the British Crabtree) the German though is a little more complex as it could use either two pins or a single pin (the British crabtree used by BD had fixed pins and was for use on the basic type 15 fuze early in the war). It would be used on the basic impact fuzes and certainly not useable on all fuzes.

The early type 15 fuze was discharged for example by the depression of both pins, however doing the same on a later fuze would result in the fuze operating. So for example just one pin needed depressing to discharge the fuze not both.

The type 35 fuze you have with this is a basic impact fuze for use in HE bombs and also PC bombs for penetration.

hope this helps a little - Kev
