    Is this common or a fantasy piece or what? Measures exactly 3in long,sorry can`t seem to get a good pic of the eagle and swaz,but it looks well done.Any thoughts be appreciated

    It is Austrian 8x56R for the Mod 30 rifle, made under German occupation. Not rare as you can find in in boxes in stripper clips at many shows.

      Thanks Willi,thats basically how I got it.A buddy works in a pawn shop and took it out of a stripper clip.

        Small arms ammunition is the one area we don't have to worry about fakes.... at least as far as I'm aware.
