Japanese Bomb Rack?

Hello,

I've come across all types of WWII stuff in peoples attics but this thing I don't have a clue.

The pictures are terrible and I'm sorry but the lady said this was a Japanese bomb rack of some type that her father took off of a Japanese ship. Seems awful big to be carrying around, but to each his own

If anyone has any idea what this might be I certainly would like to know.

Looks like an aircraft bomb rack to me, as it has the attachment points that you see on period bomb racks that are mounted on the underside of aircraft wings.

Thanks for the reply and information. I'm hoping I buy this thing and get some better pictures which will certainly help.

nice item, good luck in purchasing it. The size ought to determine which size bombs were used from this rack. Unfortunately I dont have any information on these, but maybe someone has.

Well I was finally able to purchase this thing. Looks like it's certainly something from the Japanese Navy, but was curious if anyone could interpret the writting?
