    US Mark II grenade obtained in footlocker or vet

    Have an inert US Mark II grenade obtained in footlocker of US Vet of 69th ID that is complete, 90% original paint with yellow showing through. Markings on body include AF side by side on one or the square serrations, and J alone on another
    square serration on body. Pics show condition. Need to know if authentic and approx. value. Interested in selling. fuse is inert but original. Having probs uploading pics , anyone please email me and I'll forward for assist in posting to forum.

      The first one is a WW2 fuse, the second is post war.....Bodes

                  Drbill, What does the bottom look like?.....It will either have a smooth bottom, threaded with or w/o plug, or a drilled hole.....The first two are the more desirable....

                  Also, does it look like the green is painted over the yellow, or just a yellow stripe?.....The former would be earlier.....Bodes

                  btw.....Yes, it's an original WW2 US pineapple grenade....
