    Can you identify this shell?

    Trying to ID this shell. The caption in the museum basically reads 'English 88' and the nose of the fuse is black plastic.
    Any idea on the specs and country of origin for this shell?

    British 3.7 inch possibly?

    are you sure it is safe, the fuze looks as though it hasnt been removed in years and just because the driving band shows that it has been fired doesnt mean it is not still dangerous.

      He told it is in museum.

      Not long time ago one UK museum had many live bombs been in display for very long time before somebody noticed it.
