    Y Shaped Adapter?

    Hi to everyone,

I am interested in buying this Y shaped fuze adapter for S-mine but I would first like to know if it is an original W.W.2 German example. These are the photos that were sent to me.

Being quite a common item here in Europe i don't think any were every reproduced, so i would say looking at the pictures you were on a safe bet, go for it. If the adaptor is pricey then look on ebay under Zunder and you find these are very cheaper from the boys in the east.
Earler adaptors had a small 2mm hole in one side just above the step/ flange before the two parts branch into a Y. This is a releif hole for gases to escape when the mine is ignited. You will find that this hole is filled with packing wax or grease to make it water proof. Early three pronged S-mine igniters has this hole also.
