German capture brandt 278(f) Sight adapter

Just wanted to post some pics of an adapter to use the standard R.A.35 sight on the captured french brandt 81mm mortar. Does anyone know of any period pics of this?

Very nice find. First one I have seen.
Where these also made for the French 5cm mortar?

I am not sure if any sight adapters were ever made for the 50mm Brandt. I FOUND the sight for sale listed as a anti tank gun sight base. When I saw the 278f marking I had a pretty good idea of what it was. The adapter is quite a bit heavier then the standard grw 34 base. I have seen many photos of the 278f in use but I have only seen the Brandt sight installed. I know that many of these captured mortars were in use with coastal units is there any evidence of RA35's in use on these. Or perhaps it was a training or test piece.
