Fake M43 - handle stamped evy44
Hello,
thanks for the pictures of 1 of the green Latvian M43s.
Yes, that's one of those well-made fakes from Latvia !!
The can rattles and the fuse well is pierced to simulate the deactivation.
But actually, there never was any explosive charge in it/them !!
The fuse BZE40 is fine and 100% good !
Good to keep 1 specimen of those - unfortunately I gave mine away.....

Hi,
I know about 12 of the M43s for sure - spread in collections worldwide by now.
Those fakes from Latvia also exist in tan - well recognizable at their reddish, artificial, rust aging !!
AND, beware of the fake Eggs39 as well, they also exist in tan and green !!
Could be that the origin country is Estonia perhaps, not sure yet !
