2cm Flak(20x138B) Brandspreng granate mit zerleger in great condition.Price for it is about 50euros.

Notice thin green line in top, color faded away.It has been equipped with self destroying detonator 2cm Kpf.Z.Zerl Fg

I collect 2cm Flak rounds but i already have few of this same model rounds. Not very rare projectile type. But condition is very nice.

          Hi
I think fuze is not a 2cm Kpf.Z.Zerl Fg, but a simply AZ.... without self destroying.
I even see the green band, it was not always applied in self destroying shells.
          best regards

I have two same model projectiles with AZ and Kpf.Z.Zerl Fg.

I guess germans did use both and color coding of their code books does not match always in use which they were used.Or the green band was applied before it was loaded ready with AZ.

Sounds complex and thats what keeps this thing interesting. When you think you have all specific models, you are useally wrong...

Some shells activated the self-destruction via a valve from the tracer chamber, so did not need a Kpf.Z.Zerl Fg but only an AZ. Patrick can you show the stamps on the fuze and the shell without the fuze, to see if there is a connection from the rear?

Markings on side say 119gramm projectile.

There were both models in this weight, flat base and with tracer cavity.

                  Hi
as I know, vk L'spur and ohne L'spur shells are shorter than normal W shells. I think this due to Kpf.Z.Zerl Fg, that is longer than normal AZ.
So, from german sources I have never seen a Kpf.Z.Zerl Fg fitted on normal W shells.
Do you think this is possible?
                  best regards

                        Thanks Patrick,

Well, after seen these pics I'm not so sure that is a green stripe but rather a very thin layer of yellow paint (pic #1), and perhaps the fuse is an AZ after all (pic #2)
