Estate find - Bakelite grenade

Just picked this up in an estate lot - not sure much about grenades/mines and was hoping someone out there has a better feel for this - use - type - value?

Brit No 69 grenade,Nice condition and a harder grenade to find.unusual to see it in a reddish Bakelite.

Red Bakalite grenade

G'day The red /brown model is an Australian version of this grenade not rare but can be hard to find even overhere in OZ just can't help wondering how it made it's way to the US

Not rare? It is extremelly rare to find one, it is missing stenciled markings, but a very nice example. And yes Australian made.
